Arlington Asset to delist 6.75% notes due 2025 and 6% notes due 2026

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 13 – Arlington Asset Investment Corp. will voluntarily delist its 6.75% notes due 2025 and 6% notes due 2026 from the New York Stock Exchange in connection with its May 29 entry into an agreement and plan of merger with Ellington Financial Inc., according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Arlington intends to file a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Dec. 26, with the expected last day of trading to occur on Jan. 5 and formal delisting taking effect Jan. 8.

The acquisition is expected to close Dec. 14, and Ellington will take over both series of $25-par notes.

Arlington Asset is an Arlington, Va.-based real estate investment trust.
