S&P rates Global Atlantic notes BBB-

S&P said it rated Global Atlantic Financial Group's planned senior unsecured notes BBB-. Global Atlantic (Fin) Co. will issue the notes that will be fully guaranteed by Global Atlantic Financial Ltd., rated BBB-.

The proceeds are expected to be used to pay down about $400 million outstanding under its revolving credit facility and for general corporate purposes, if the offering exceeds $400 million.

The outlook is positive.
