Hollister Construction eyes three-month exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, March 12 – Hollister Construction Services, LLC requested an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Specifically, the company wants its exclusive filing period to be extended through July 7 from April 8 and the solicitation period through Sept. 8 from June 8.

Hollister said in the motion that it hopes to be in a position to file a plan of liquidation within the next few months, but resolving as many as possible of its construction projects that were open as of the bankruptcy filing date and issues involving the project owners and subcontractors on each project is crucial for it to formulate a feasible and consensual plan.

According to the motion, the company needs additional time to fully analyze and address unexpired leases.

A hearing is scheduled for April 2.

Hollister is a Parsippany, N.J.-based construction company. The company filed bankruptcy on Sept. 11, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-27439.
