S&P rates Korea East-West Power notes AA

S&P said it assigned its AA long-term issue rating to the U.S. dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes that Korea East-West Power Co. Ltd. (KEWP; AA/stable/--) proposes to issue.

The outlook is stable.

The company plans to use the proceeds for green projects relating to renewable energy and energy efficiency.

“The rating on KEWP is equalized with the long-term issuer credit rating on Korea Electric Power Corp. (Kepco; AA/stable/A-1+) because we view KEWP as a core subsidiary of Kepco,” S&P said in a news release.
