Charming Charlie seeks court approval to sell intellectual property

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 14 – Charming Charlie Holdings Inc. requested court approval to sell its intellectual property at auction, according to a motion filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company said the intellectual property consists of trademarks, domain names including charmingcharlie.com, customer files and related transaction data, and social-media assets.

According to the motion, bids would be due by 5 p.m. ET on Sept. 5.

If one or more bids are received, an auction would be held on Sept. 9.

The sale hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12.

Charming Charlie is a Houston-based retailer of jewelry and accessories for women. The company filed bankruptcy on July 11 under Chapter 11 case number 19-11534.
