EdgeMarc Energy seeks exclusivity extension, cites case complexity

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Sept. 12 – EdgeMarc Energy Holdings, LLC is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

EdgeMarc is asking the court to extend its exclusive filing period through Dec. 11 from Sept. 12 and the solicitation period through Feb. 10 from Nov. 12.

“The multifaceted nature of the debtors’ assets and business operations present unique complexity to these Chapter 11 cases and...has resulted in a bi-furcated sale process which is not yet complete,” the motion said.

In addition, EdgeMarc said there have already been hundreds of claims filed against the debtors and their estates, so the size and complexity of its cases warrant the requested extension.

A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23.

EdgeMarc is a Canonsburg, Pa.-based natural gas exploration and production company that filed bankruptcy on May 15. The Chapter 11 case number is 19-11104.
