S&P changes Avanos Medical view to negative

S&P said it revised the outlook for Avanos Medical Inc. to negative from stable.

“The negative outlook reflects the risks to our base-case projections that the company will reduce debt leverage to below 4x in 2020. These risks include the potential for further disruption associated with the transition of the IT systems, continuous market headwinds in the company’s pain management segment, and elevated legal expenses,” said S&P in a press release.

S&P affirmed its BB- ratings on Avanos.
