Moody's assigns B2 to Goodyear notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a B2 rating to the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s planned $1.45 billion of senior unsecured guaranteed notes.

Goodyear's other ratings are unaffected, including the B1 corporate family rating, the B2 senior unsecured guaranteed notes rating and the B3 senior unsecured notes rating, as well as Goodyear Europe BV's senior unsecured guaranteed notes rating of Ba3. The speculative grade liquidity rating remains SGL-2.

The proceeds will help fund the acquisition of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.

The outlook is stable.
