Loomis Sayles bolsters credit staff in Singapore

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, April 29 – Loomis Sayles Investments Asia Pte. Ltd., an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has expanded its credit team in Singapore by naming Thu Ha Chow a portfolio manager on Asia Credit strategies, including the recently launched Asia Bond Plus strategy, and senior credit strategist for the emerging markets debt team, according to an announcement.

Also in Singapore, Zhi Wei Feng and Jeremy Teng have been named senior credit research analysts.

Thu Ha, who joined Loomis Sayles in 2016 from Aberdeen Asset Management in Singapore, will also focus on identifying Asian corporate credit investment opportunities across the emerging market debt portfolios, in addition to her portfolio management responsibilities.

“Thu Ha has over two decades of experience, and this new role recognizes her particular expertise in Asia credit investing,” said David Waldman, the firm’s deputy chief investment officer.

Zhi Wei joined Loomis in 2018 from Standard Chartered Bank, and she will cover Chinese corporates, including the property sector; and Jeremy, who was previously at Aberdeen Standard Investments before joining Loomis in 2018, will be covering Asian credits outside of China.
