Bovie Medical, Medline to co-promote electrosurgical equipment

Tampa, Fla., Aug. 25 - Bovie Medical Corp. and Medline Industries, Inc. have formed a marketing and distribution alliance to promote the sale of electrosurgical equipment and accessories in the hospital market.

Medline said it recently launched a full line of electrosurgical accessories and will co-promote these accessories with Bovie's electrosurgical equipment to hospitals and hospital buying groups.

The program is being rolled out as group purchasing organizations and integrated delivery network contract renewals are renegotiated.

Bovie Medical, based in Melville, N.Y., develops electrosurgical products.

Based in Mundelein, Ill., Medline is a medical device manufacturer.
