Fitch affirms HNB Finance

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed HNB Finance Ltd.'s national long-term rating at A(lka).

The outlook is stable.

The agency said the rating reflects an expectation of support from the company’s parent, Hatton National Bank plc (AA-(lka)/stable), Sri Lanka's fourth-largest domestic commercial bank.

This view is based on Hatton National Bank’s majority 51% shareholding, its involvement in HNB Finance's strategic direction through board representation, and the common Hatton National Bank brand, Fitch said.
