By Paul A. Harris

Portland, Ore., June 2 - Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. plans to price a $400 million offering of 10-year senior notes (existing ratings B2/B) on Monday following a late morning conference call with investors, according to a market source.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Wells Fargo Securities LLC and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. are the joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S with registration rights offer.

The notes come with five years of call protection.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based semiconductor manufacturer plans to use the proceeds, together with cash on hand, to fund a tender offer for its $452 million of outstanding 8 1/8% senior notes due 2017.
