Moody's: Boston Gas notes A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to the $500 million 4.487% senior notes due 2042 issued by Boston Gas Co.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the rating reflects (a) the terms and conditions including their status as senior unsecured obligations of the issuer and (b) the A3 senior unsecured rating of Boston Gas.
