Advanced Magnetics at buy by Jefferies

Advanced Magnetics was rated at buy by Jefferies & Co., Inc. analyst Adam Walsh with a 12- month to 18-month price target of $42. The company reported second-quarter 2006 net loss per share of $0.50, $0.15 below the analyst's estimate and $0.14 below Street consensus. Shares of the Cambridge, Mass., pharmaceutical products company were down 86 cents, or 2.80%, at $29.90 on volume of 201,900 shares versus the three-month running average of 260,900 shares.
