Jefferies gives Advanced Magnetics a buy rating

Advanced Magnetics, Inc. was rated at a buy, with an increased price target of $73 from $42, by Jefferies & Co., Inc. analyst Adam Walsh. Jefferies surveyed 33 U.S.-based nephrologists to assess the market potential of ferumoxytol. As a result, Walsh increased 2008 to 2010 ferumoxytol and earnings per share estimates. Shares of the Cambridge, Mass.-based pharmaceutical products company were down 22 cents, or 0.64%, at $34.16. (Nasdaq: AMAG)
