Boomerang Tube requests 90-day extension of exclusivity periods

By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Dec. 31 – Boomerang Tube LLC sought court approval to extend its exclusive periods for filing a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan, according to a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company is requesting an extension on its exclusive filing period through April 4 from Jan. 5 and an extension of the solicitation period through June 2, 2016 from March 4.

According to the motion, the company said the extensions will afford it the ability and time to formulate and propose a Chapter 11 plan, as well as solicit acceptances “without the disruption that might be caused by the filing of competing plans of reorganization by non-debtor parties.”

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 27.

Boomerang Tube is a St. Louis-based producer of oil country tubular goods and line pipe that filed for bankruptcy on June 9. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11247.
