By Kali Hays

New York, July 20 – Boomerang Tube LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors is seeking authorization to hire Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP and Brown Rudnick LLP as joint legal counsel retroactive to June 19, according to separate Monday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Both firms will advise the committee as to its general rights in Boomerang’s bankruptcy case, attend meetings and negotiations with the debtor and other creditors, assist in the analysis of any proposed plan, financing or transaction and represent the committee in court as needed.

Attorneys of Morris Nichols will be paid an hourly rate between $305 and $910 and those of Brown Rudnick will be paid an hourly rate between $415 and $1,240, according to the filings.

A hearing to consider the hirings is set for Aug. 11.

Boomerang Tube is a St. Louis-based producer of oil country tubular goods and line pipe that filed for bankruptcy on June 9. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11247.
