Mission Coal records $499,000 improved operating loss for February

Pittsburgh, April 2 – Mission Coal Co., LLC reported a $499,000 loss from operations for February on $27.96 million in total revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

In comparison, Mission Coal posted a $5.46 million loss from operations for January on $13.67 million in total revenue.

The net loss for February was $11.96 million, narrowing from a $13.86 million January net loss.

The company had $2.75 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Feb. 28, down from $8.14 million at the end of January.

Mission is a Kingsport, Tenn.-based coal company. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 14 under Chapter 11 case number 18-04177.
