S&P upgrades Bolivia

Standard & Poor's said it raised the long-term sovereign rating on the Plurinational State of Bolivia to BB- from B+. The outlook is stable.

"The upgrade reflects the improvement in the government's debt burden coupled with the country's strengthened external indicators - one of the strongest among its BB rated peers," said S&P credit analyst Richard Francis in a news release.
