Fitch revises Italian insurers to negative

Fitch Ratings said it revised the outlooks of nine Italian insurance groups to negative from stable while affirming their long-term issuer default ratings.

The groups are Assicurazioni Generali SpA, Societa Reale Mutua di Assicurazioni, SACE SpA, Intesa Sanpaolo Vita SpA, ITAS Mutua, Poste Vita SpA, Unipol Gruppo SpA, UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA, SIAT Societa Italiana Assicurazioni e Riassicurazioni pA and Vittoria Assicurazioni SpA.

The agency said the revision of the outlooks on the Italian insurers to negative follows the change of Italy's outlook to negative.
