Societe du Grand Paris plans to launch 10-year green bond issue

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Oct. 9 – Societe du Grand Paris (Aa2) has mandated BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole CIB as global coordinators and Barclays, BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, Natixis and SG CIB as joint lead managers for an inaugural euro-denominated 10-year senior green bond issue.

The benchmark deal under Regulation S “will be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions,” according to a market source.

BNP Paribas is the arranger of the green medium-term notes program and Credit Agricole is the structuring adviser of the green bond framework.

The notes will not be sold to retail clients as defined in MiFID II, the source said.

As announced Sept. 17, the issuer arranged a series of fixed income investor meetings starting Sept. 24 for the inaugural green bond issue.

Societe du Grand Paris is a public establishment created by the state to build the new automatic metro system in greater Paris.
