S&P affirms BNP Paribas Securities

S&P said it affirmed its A/A-1 long- and short-term issuer credit ratings on BNP Paribas Securities Corp.

The outlook remains stable.

The agency said it affirmed the rating based on a view that it plays an integral role in the BNP Paribas group's corporate and institutional banking strategy in the United States.

Given its important strategic role, BNP Paribas Securities is considered a core subsidiary of BNP Paribas that would likely receive support from the group under any foreseeable circumstances, S&P explained.
