Moody’s might cut Italian banks
Moody's Investors Service said it placed the ratings of multiple Italian banks on review for downgrade following the corresponding action on Italy's Baa2 government bond rating.
Moody's is reviewing for downgrade of the long-term deposit ratings of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, Banca IMI SpA, Mediobanca SpA, Credit Agricole Cariparma SpA, FCA Bank SpA and Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen SpA.
The agency also placed the Baa2 long-term issuer and senior debt ratings of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA and Invitalia SpA and the Prime-2 short-term ratings of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti on review for downgrade.
Moody's placed the long-term Baa3 issuer rating of Banca del Mezzogiorno - MCC SpA on review for downgrade.
Furthermore, the agency placed the Baa2 issuer rating of Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen on review for possible downgrade.
