Moody’s applies Baa1 to Bank Australia

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Bank Australia Ltd. a long-term issuer rating of Baa1, a short-term issuer rating of P-2, a long-term counterparty risk assessment of A3(cr) and a short-term counterparty risk assessment of P-2(cr).

The bank's baseline credit assessment (BCA) and adjusted BCA are at baa1.

The outlook is stable.

Moody’s said the Baa1 rating for Bank Australia, a mutually owned authorized deposit-taking institution (mutual ADI), reflects the bank's strong asset quality, healthy capitalization, and conservative funding profile.
