Fitch changes Enel Chile view

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings of Enel Generacion Chile SA at BBB+ and its long-term national scale rating at AA(cl).

Fitch also affirmed Enel Chile SA's long-term national scale rating at AA(cl).

The outlook for both corporates was revised to positive from stable.

“The positive outlook reflects the company's solid credit metrics and robust liquidity profile, after completing the restructuring process, consolidating the company's leadership position in the Chilean electricity market and better aligning shareholders' interests, where Enel Chile increased its stake in Enel Generacion Chile to 93.55% from approximately 60%,” the agency said in a news release.
