Southeastern Grocers cash use approved; plan hearing set for May 14

Pittsburgh, April 2 – Southeastern Grocers, LLC received court approval to access the cash collateral of its pre-bankruptcy secured parties on an interim basis, according to an order filed March 29 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The final hearing is scheduled for April 24.

The cash collateral will be used to fund the company’s operations while in bankruptcy and will terminate 150 days from the bankruptcy filing date.

In addition, the court scheduled a combined hearing on confirmation of Southeastern Grocers’ pre-packaged plan of reorganization and approval of the related disclosure statement for May 14.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Southeastern Grocers is parent company and home of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores. The company filed bankruptcy on March 27 under Chapter 11 case number 18-10700.
