Steel City Media seeks one-month exclusivity extension amid plan work

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Oct. 19 – MGTF Radio Co., LLC and WPNT, Inc., which do business as Steel City Media, requested a fourth extension of their exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Specifically, Steel City Media asked the court to extend its exclusive plan-filing period through Nov. 19 from Oct. 19 and the solicitation period through Jan. 21 from Dec. 19.

“The debtors’ goal, of course, is to confirm a plan of reorganization that will receive support from all of their constituencies,” the motion said.

“Negotiations of such a plan of reorganization are ongoing but require additional work and progress.”

Steel City is a Pittsburgh-based radio station owner. The company filed bankruptcy on March 20 under Chapter 11 case number 18-41671.
