Moody’s assigns A3 to Chubb notes

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to $1 billion of 10-year backed senior unsecured notes to be issued by Chubb INA Holdings Inc. The senior debt is guaranteed by Chubb Ltd.

The rating is the same as those on Chubb’s outstanding senior unsecured notes.

Chubb intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of $700 million of senior notes due May 15.

The outlook is unchanged at positive.
