DBRS raises Choice Properties

DBRS said it upgraded the issuer and senior unsecured debenture ratings on Choice Properties LP as well as the senior unsecured debenture rating on Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust to BBB (high).

Since the partnership guarantees the REIT’s debentures, the two senior unsecured debenture ratings are harmonized, the agency said.

The upgraded ratings on Choice Properties reflects the upgrade to the ratings on Loblaw Cos. Ltd.’s long-term debt to BBB (high), which effectively raised Choice Properties’ ratings, DBRS said.

The trend is stable.
