Blockbuster shareholder Marlin Sams ups stake to 8.3%

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 23 - Investors led by Marlin Sams Fund, LP bought 2.65 million shares of Blockbuster Inc. class B common stock between Oct. 27 and Dec. 22 at prices from $0.50 to $0.8855 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Sams purchased 1.05 million shares between Oct. 30 and Nov. 12 at prices from $0.45 to $0.89 each, a prior SEC filing said.

The investor beneficially owns 6 million shares, or 8.3%, of the Dallas-based provider of in-home movie and game entertainment.
