Block Communications to sell $150 million seven-year notes via Banc of America

St. Louis, Mo., April 1 - Block Communications, Inc. will start a roadshow Wednesday to market an offering of $150 million senior subordinated notes due 2009, according to a syndicate source.

Pricing is expected to take place April 10.

Banc of America Securities is bookrunner. Co-managers include Fleet Securities, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Comerica Securities and NatCity Investments.

The Rule 144A notes are non-callable for four years.

Proceeds will be used to repay bank debt.

Block Communications is a privately-held Toledo, Ohio-based diversified media company. The company is also a first-time high-yield issuer, according to a syndicate source.
