Moody’s reviews Tianqi Lithium

Moody's Investors Service said it placed Tianqi Lithium Corp.’s Baa3 issuer rating and the Baa3 senior unsecured rating on the bonds issued by Tianqi Finco Co., Ltd. and guaranteed by Tianqi Lithium on review for downgrade.

"The review for downgrade reflects Tianqi Lithium's potential rise in leverage after its completion of its proposed acquisition of a 23.8% stake in Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM, Baa1 stable)," Moody's vice president and senior credit officer Gerwin Ho said in a news release.
