BlackRock Total Return Fund drops two managers, retains Rieder, Miller

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Nov. 15 - BlackRock Bond Fund, Inc. announced a portfolio management change to its BlackRock Total Return Fund, according to a 497K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Existing portfolio managers Rick Rieder and Bob Miller are now responsible for management of the fund.

Eric Pellicciaro and Matthew Marra are no longer managing the fund.

The fund seeks a total return that exceeds that of the Barclays Capital U.S. Aggregate Bond index and invests more than 90% of its assets in fixed-income securities. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in bonds, primarily in investment-grade bonds.

Wilmington, Del.-based BlackRock Advisors, LLC is the investment adviser to the fund.
