Moody's changes Engie view to negative

Moody's Investors Service said it changed Engie SA's outlook to negative from stable.

Moody's also revised the outlook to negative from stable for Engie Alliance, Engie Invest International SA, Electrabel SA and Engie CC.

The negative outlook reflects the pandemic will weigh on earnings and increases the risk, even after mitigation measures, already weak metrics will not recover to levels consistent with the current rating over the next two to three years, the agency said.

Moody’s affirmed the A3 long-term issuer senior unsecured ratings, the Baa2 perpetual junior subordinated debt rating. At the same time, Moody's affirmed the A3 long-term issuer rating for Engie Alliance's and Engie Invest as well as the Baa1 long-term issuer rating for Electrabel and Engie CC.
