Zetta Jet USA trustee files case conversion motion at request of court

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 1 – Zetta Jet USA, Inc.’s Chapter 11 trustee filed a motion Friday for conversion of the company’s Chapter 11 case to Chapter 7 at the request of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Chapter 11 trustee Jonathan D. King said in a status report filed with court that the conversion request will be discussed, but not ruled on, at a Dec. 7 hearing.

The court called for a status conference to be held on Dec. 7 and requested the case conversion motion at a Nov. 28 financing hearing.

The motion did not give a reason for the conversion request.

Zetta Jet is a Burbank, Calif.-based private aviation charter company. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15 under Chapter 11 case number 17-21386.
