BlackRock intends to conduct offering of notes via five bookrunners

Knoxville, Tenn., March 21 – BlackRock Inc. intends to offer dollar-denominated notes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to redeem the company’s 6.25% notes due 2017 and for general corporate purposes.

The investment management company is based in New York.
