BlackRock makes portfolio manager changes to four closed-end funds

San Diego, June 1 - BlackRock Advisors, LLC announced changes to the portfolio management teams of BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust I, Inc., BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust II, Inc., BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust III and BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust IV.
According to a press release the portfolio management teams now consist of Jeffrey Cucunato, Mitchell S. Garfin, and Stephan Bassas, effective June 1.
Cucunato, a managing director, is a member of the corporate credit group within BlackRock's fundamental fixed-income portfolio management group. He is the lead portfolio manager on the investment-grade credit/long-duration portfolio team and is also head of U.S. investment-grade credit investments. Cucunato has been with BlackRock since 1995.
Garfin, a managing director for BlackRock and a chartered financial analyst, is a member of the corporate credit group within BlackRock fundamental fixed income. He is a portfolio manager on the leveraged finance portfolio team and has been with BlackRock since 1997. Garfin earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Michigan and an MBA degree in finance and economics from New York University.
Bassas, a director, is a member of the corporate credit group within BlackRock's fundamental fixed-income portfolio management group and is a portfolio manager on the investment-grade credit/long-duration portfolio team. He has been involved with BlackRock since 2000, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, which merged with BlackRock. Bassas earned an MBA from the University of Lyon, France, and attended the investment management program at the London Business School in 2000.
