S&P rates Banco Atlantida BB-

S&P said it assigned a BB- long-term and B short-term global scale issuer credit rating on Banco Atlantida, SA.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the bank's historical operating revenue stability and its leading position in the Honduran financial system, S&P said.

The ratings also consider the forecasted average risk-adjusted capital (RAC) ratio of 5.14% for the next 18 to 24 months, the agency said.

The bank has maintained sound asset quality metrics that are in line with those of the Honduran financial system, S&P added.

Banco Atlantida also has a diversified funding structure that provides enough liquidity to cover its short-term maturities, the agency said.
