Knoxville, Tenn., June 26 – Ameren Transmission Co. of Illinois priced a $450 million private placement of 33-year senior notes on June 22, according to an 8-K filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company issued $150 million of notes at pricing, with the remainder to be issued on Aug. 31.
The notes accrue interest at 3.43% per year.
Early redemption is possible via a make-whole call.
Proceeds will be used to repay existing short-term and long-term affiliate debt.
The issuer is a subsidiary of Ameren Corp., a St. Louis-based electric and natural gas company.
