Fitch upgrades Energuate

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded Energuate Trust's long-term local- and foreign-currency issuer default ratings to BB from BB- and its $330 million bond due in 2027 to BB from BB-.

“The upgrade reflects Energuate's strong linkage to the Guatemalan sovereign rating. Fitch upgraded Guatemala's IDR to BB from BB-on Feb. 16, 2023,” the agency said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
