Westinghouse Electric sees $10 million loss from operations for July

Pittsburgh, Sept. 1 – Westinghouse Electric Co., LLC reported a $10 million loss from operations for July on $239 million in net revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed Aug. 31 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Those figures showed improvement over the $17 million loss from operations posted for June on $166 million in net revenue.

The net loss for July was $31 million, narrowing from a $44 million June net loss.

The company had $1,395,000,000 in cash and cash equivalents as of July 31, up from $1,306,000,000 at the end of June.

Westinghouse, a Cranberry Township, Pa.-based nuclear products and services company and a subsidiary of Toshiba, filed bankruptcy on March 29. The Chapter 11 case number is 17-10751.
