RadioShack store operator’s unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, March 17 – General Wireless Operations, Inc.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Friday by acting Region 3 U.S. Trustee Andrew R. Vara, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

General Wireless does business as RadioShack.

The committee members include Don Osborne of Spectrum Brands, Inc. of Middleton, Wis.; Rehan S. Haque of Brightstar US, Inc. of Libertyville, Ill.; Chris Oatway of ION America, LLC of Moorestown, N.J.; Wei Wan Min, representing Weide Electronics Co., Ltd.; David M. Epstein of Ideavillage Products Corp. of Wayne, N.J.; a representative of Protop International, Inc. of New Taipei City, Taiwan; and a representative of Brixmor Property Group, Inc. of New York.

General Wireless is a Fort Worth-based operator of neighborhood electronics convenience stores. The company filed bankruptcy on March 9. The Chapter 11 case number is 17-10506.
