Moody's assigns Bain Capital notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 rating to Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc.'s $300 million of five-year 2.55% senior unsecured notes.

“Moody's assigned a Baa3 rating to the senior notes based on BCSF's baa3 issuer credit profile, the priority and proportion of senior unsecured debt in BCSF's debt capital structure and the strength of the senior notes' asset coverage,” the agency said in a press release.

The company plans to use the proceeds to repay secured indebtedness and general corporate purposes.

The outlook is stable.
