Moody's rates Banco Santander-Chile notes A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 foreign-currency senior unsecured rating to Banco Santander-Chile's $500 million fixed-rate senior unsecured notes. The notes will have a fixed coupon and will mature on Oct. 26, 2031.

“Banco Santander-Chile's A1 senior unsecured debt rating reflects the bank's solid retail and commercial banking franchise, as well as its strong earnings generation, which benefits from its pricing power and revenues diversification provided as the largest lender in the country,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The outlook is negative.
