Kazakhstan’s National Bank buys back no 2017 notes at Friday session

Morgantown, W.Va., Dec. 23 – National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a special trading session on Friday to repurchase KZT 16,713,109,590 of its one-year notes due 2017. No notes were accepted for purchase, according to a Kazakhstan Stock Exchange notice.

Specifically, the stock exchange said it did not accept any limited offset order.

The Almaty, Kazakhstan-based bank had issued KZT 55.71 billion of the one-year notes in October.
