Moody's lifts three Slovenian banks to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook to positive from stable on the deposit ratings of three Slovenian banks.

The action was prompted by a change of its macro profile for Slovenia to moderate+ from moderate, as well as the continued improvement in the banks' credit fundamentals, the agency explained.

The strengthening of the macro profile reflects an assessment that the banks' operating environment has benefited from the country's improved institutional strength and stronger growth outlook, Moody's said.

Nova Ljubljanska banka dd's outlook was revised to positive from stable and its Ba1 long-term local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings were affirmed.

Nova Kreditna banka Maribor dd's outlook changed to positive from stable and its Ba2 long-term local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings were affirmed.

Abanka dd's outlook also was changed to positive from stable and its Ba1 long-term local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings were affirmed.
