Credit Agricole adds Nakum, Starr, Kucinich to U.S. credit platform

Olympia, Wash., May 29 – Credit Agricole CIB said it added New York-based Anatoly Nakum, Beth Starr and Gary Kucinich to its U.S. credit platform.

Nakum joins as head of credit trading for the Americas and reports to Bryan Scarfone. Nakum has more than 20 years of experience in credit trading and joins from private investment platform Certa Group LLC, where he was a co-founder. Prior to that, he was co-head of U.S. credit trading at UBS Securities and head of principal credit at Barclays Capital.

Beth Starr joins as head of ABS syndicate for the Americas and reports to Nicolas Leopardi, head of debt syndicate Americas. She joins Credit Agricole from Spruce Finance, where she was head of loan capital markets.

Kucinich joins in credit sales and reports to Koceila Maames, head of financial institutions sales for the Americas. He joins from Citigroup Global Markets, where he worked for over five years in the investment-grade and leveraged credit sales team.

“We are firmly committed to our U.S. credit platform and following a recent change in our set-up, we look forward to building our offering with our new colleagues,” Gene Kim, head of international for the global markets division, said in the release.

Credit Agricole CIB is the corporate and investment arm of Credit Agricole Group, a Paris-based financial institution.
