Murphy Energy U.S. Trustee names four to unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, Oct. 19 – Murphy Energy Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Wednesday by U.S. trustee William T. Neary, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The committee members include interim chairman Bruce Quigley of Hilco Transport, Inc. of Greensboro, N.C.; Andrew Marlow of Rio Energy International, Inc. of Houston; Greg Stewart of Safeway Transportation, LLC of Port Allen, La.; and Teri Gonzales of Vitruvian II Woodford, LLC of the Woodlands, Texas.
Murphy Energy is a Tulsa, Okla.-based privately owned integrated midstream provider of transportation, storage and marketing services for crude oil, natural gas liquids and condensates. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 5 under Chapter 11 case number 16-33971.
