Fitch gives S&P notes A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned S&P Global Inc.'s new 10-year notes an A- rating.

The agency said it affirmed S&P’s A- ratings on April 24.

“The issuance of these notes is a leverage-neutral transaction since S&P will use the proceeds to pay down most of its commercial paper balance,” Fitch said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
