Fitch acts on Latin American airports

Fitch Ratings said it conducted a portfolio review of Latin American airports amid the current challenging scenario of the coronavirus pandemic and the expected sharp drop in passenger volume and airports revenues occurring in the markets due to travel bans, passenger flights shutdown and depressed economic activity.

Fitch placed ACI Airport SudAmerica, SA and Sociedad Concesionaria Operadora Aeroportuaria Internacional, SA on rating watch negative.

The agency affirmed the ratings of Grupo Aeroportuario de la Ciudad de Mexico SA de CV and Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte ratings. The outlooks for Grupo Aeroportuario de Ciudad de Mexico is negative. The outlook for Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte is positive.

Fitch also downgraded International Airport Finance SA to B- following the downgrade of Ecuador’s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating. The outlook is negative.
